Camp Kinder Ring is situated on more than 100 beautiful acres along Sylvan Lake in Hopewell Junction, New York, just 70 miles from New York City. The expansive, wooded campus provides a classic summer camp setting while remaining easily accessible for families across the New York metropolitan area. Over recent years, Camp Kinder Ring has made significant investments in the property, completing major renovations and infrastructure upgrades that enhance comfort, safety, and the overall camper experience.

State-of-the-Art Athletic Facilities

Athletics are a cornerstone of daily life at Camp Kinder Ring. The campus features eight fully lit tennis courts and an Olympic-sized heated swimming pool used for instruction, recreational swim, and competitive events. Basketball players benefit from one indoor court and two outdoor courts, while the lit hockey rink with bleachers supports both practice and spirited games.

The camp also includes four multipurpose soccer, football, and lacrosse fields, an archery range, and a 1/6-mile running track. These facilities allow campers to develop skills, build confidence, and stay active in a structured and supportive environment.

Adventure, Fitness, and Outdoor Challenges

Camp Kinder Ring offers a wide range of adventure and fitness programming designed to challenge campers physically and mentally. The low ropes course includes 12 stations focused on teamwork and problem-solving, while the 14-station high ropes course encourages confidence and personal growth. Campers can also take on the 24-foot climbing wall or experience the excitement of the zipline.

Waterfront Activities on Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake is a highlight of the Camp Kinder Ring campus. The lakefront includes a sandy beachfront and a boating launch equipped with rowboats, sailboats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards, and two Super SUPs designed for large group experiences. Inflatable lake toys add another layer of fun, while the nearby camp BBQ area creates a relaxed space for social gatherings and special events.

These waterfront amenities allow campers to enjoy nature while building water skills and friendships.

Creative Arts and Performing Spaces

Creative expression is an essential part of the Camp Kinder Ring experience. The newly modernized arts and crafts center features dedicated woodworking, ceramics, and fabric shops. Campers also enjoy a dance studio and a performing arts center complete with a full stage and professional lighting, supporting drama productions, talent shows, and performances throughout the summer.

The campus includes an indoor gym, a state-of-the-art air-conditioned movie theater, an air-conditioned dining room with a salad bar, and a newly renovated canteen and recreation center.
